Founded by Bill Davenport, a retired U.S. Navy Chief and veteran entrepreneur, Anchored Market Ventures exists to elevate the farmers market experience, for vendors, shoppers, and the communities they serve.

After more than 20 years of military service, Bill transitioned from leading teams in high-accountability environments to supporting farmers, makers, and small-business owners through professionally operated local markets. What began as a single market quickly grew into a broader mission: raise standards, improve education, and build sustainable market ecosystems that work for everyone involved.

Today, Anchored Market Ventures operates multiple farmers markets across Florida’s Panhandle and supports vendors and market managers nationwide through education, resources, and practical tools. This includes books, digital products, workshops, and ongoing education through the Farmers Market Junction Newsletter, the Vendor’s Edge Podcast, and the Anchored Market Ventures YouTube channel.

Anchored Market Ventures is also the founding organization behind the Florida Alliance of Farmers Markets, a statewide initiative focused on education, collaboration, and strengthening farmers markets across Florida through shared standards, resources, and advocacy.
